The morning...

  • I had never photographed a Polish wedding before, but being Italian , I figured it was going to be big. Oh my goodness, was it ever! One of the most beautiful parts of the day for me to watch and document was the morning. Both the bride and groom got ready at there family homes. Polish tradition: Before the church ceremony everyone would gather at the home of the bride\groom to accompany the bridal couple to the church, but also to witness the blessing and symbolic farewells of the bride\groom with there parents, relatives, and friends. The blessing by the parents before church were seen as more important than the church ceremony itself. I have to say it was beautiful to watch. They spoke in polish , so I didn't even understand , but it was so powerful that it literally brought me to tears. Something I will never forget, Im so blessed to have been part of such a beautiful tradition.

highlights of the rest of the day...

This couple had a super fun wedding , the bridal party was riot. Literally made me cry lol of laughter! Another super cool tradition that Polish wedding have, is this road block at the church. So the couple gets married and heads off, well friends create a road block literally in front of the bus , making the couple get out , they sing songs and makes the couple give them vodka to pass, let me tell you not one bottle , like 5-6 bottles of vodka lol , and they make them do funny things. It was awesome! See the road block below (The we the north photo)
